We’re very excited to welcome each and every one of you back to join us for an overnight stay or a delicious meal in one of our restaurant’s and we have the appropriate risk assessments and procedures in place to make our estate a safe and comfortable environment for you to enjoy.
We’ve made some changes to various parts of our business throughout the estate and we’ve listed these below for you.
Crouchers Hotel

We’ll be open for leisure guests from the 17th May 2021 onwards. We are currently open for guests travelling for key working, business or other purposes made valid by the government.
- We have implemented additional enhanced cleaning of all of the rooms and public spaces to ensure our estate is a safe and relaxed environment for you to enjoy.
- We require you to wear a face mask at all times when arriving and when within public space within the building.
- We require you to check-in via the NHS track and trace app via the numerous QR codes available throughout the building.
- Hand sanitiser will be readily available for you and we kindly ask that you make good use of it throughout your visit. We have plenty of it!
- Our housekeeping and front of house team are committed to wearing their face masks as a mandatory part of their uniform.
- We’re servicing rooms every day as normal, but if you would prefer not to have your room serviced, please do let us know and we can arrange for anything you may need to be delivered to your room, contact free.
- If you would prefer to dine in your room, rather than our restaurant you are more than welcome to as we do provide room service. This is charged at £5 per tray.
The Cottages
Our gorgeous self-catering Cottages are the perfect place for you and your family to escape to the coast for a welcomed stay-cation with an interesting mix of city, countryside and coast to enjoy. Surrounded by 36 acres on our estate, there’s plenty of fresh air and countryside walks which is ideal if your fury canine companions are joining you. The city of Chichester is a short drive from The Cottages and boasts a wealth of history – as well as a fabulous high street full of great shops for gifts, souvenirs and many other things from both independent boutique shops and larger big brand shops too. Our Cottages are open and available to book from the 12th April 2021 onwards.
Our housekeeping team consistently ensure our cleanliness is of the highest standard but we have increased how thorough our cleaning regime is to give you piece of mind to relax and enjoy your stay-cation.
Check-in will remain at Crouchers Hotel and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you soon!
Potager Restaurant
Our Potager Restaurant team are eager to welcome you back and serve you some delicious food and refreshing drinks, especially outside on our gorgeous garden patio and our brand new garden benches – al fresco dining has never been so glorious!
We’ve got some incredibly exciting news that we have a very talented new Head Chef, David Goldstein, who will be running our Potager Kitchen from the 4th July. David has worked with us for many years and has built up an extensive set of skills that made him the perfect candidate for our Head Chef position.
Here’s the changes we’ll be making to ease both ourselves and our guests into some sense of a more natural and normal dining experience:
- As always, we will be welcoming non-residents and residents alike, we’re open to everyone and hope to welcome you to enjoy some of our fabulous new dishes.
- We have lessened the density of our tables inside our restaurant to ensure our guests are at a safe social distance from both our servers and other guests.
- We will require all guests in your group to register their details or check in via the NHs track and trace app as part of the guidelines of opening set out by the government on the 23rd June 2020. QR codes for this can be found at multiple locations throughout the building and on tables outdoors.
- We require you to wear a face mask at all times when in public spaces within the building. This being for access or exit to and from the gardens, or to use the toilets.
- We’ve got brand new patio tables and garden benches to increase our outdoor seating, with the appropriate social distancing measures between these to ensure you’re safe and relaxed whilst soaking up the sunshine.
- We’re open 5 days a week serving food from 12-8pm Wednesday-Sunday.
- You will be able to order food and rinks through our online ordering platform, minimising person to person contact.
- Hand sanitiser will be readily available for you and we kindly ask that you make good use of it throughout your visit. We have plenty of it!
Cider House Kitchen
Our pizzeria team have been working hard throughout the end of lock-down operating as a takeaway only restaurant and we’re eternally grateful for all of your support. If you did enjoy a takeaway, we do hope that it was as delicious as always and very much hope to welcome you back once we’re back open as a fully functioning restaurant on the 4th July 2020.
